Cleanliness and disinfection of the boats
The topic of cleanliness and hygiene, as well as maintainance, has been a high priority at Lava Charter long before Corona! Our satisfied guests and several reviews at Yachtcheck, as well as several awards (link to blog entry Yachtcheck winner) can testify to that. Nevertheless, the standards for cleaning must be raised due to the current situation given case, e.g. disinfection. Exact conditions do not exist yet, but we are already preparing ourselves mentally for the coming situation after the lockdown in order to comply with all the upcoming measures and to offer solutions!
But it is not only the cleaning and disinfection itself that is important, but also the products that are used: we have been using organic cleaning products that are environmentally friendly for years. New companies specialising in bio-disinfectants and thus reducing the pollution of the environment are also of interest. Especially during the external cleaning of the sailing yachts, it is thus avoided that pollutants end up in the sea!
What’s the deal with the mask duty?
Disposable masks produce unnecessary waste! Pictures of used gloves and masks on beaches and public places have been circulating on the Internet for weeks.
So that you can enjoy your sailing trip without hesitation and to the fullest, there is still a buff on top for you and every crew member for free! Always reusable and especially useful after the Covid 19 pandemic! (A buff is no medical protection, of course, but is currently legally recognised by law as protection)

Optimal sailing weather in the temperate climate of the eternal spring of the Canary Islands. Get your season back! And if your booking – for whatever reason – cannot take place in winter 2020 – simply postpone your trip to 2021.
